I read law (LLB Hons) at Queen Mary, University of London, before qualifying as a solicitor at Irwin Mitchell in London in 2006. I have specialised in employment law ever since, with a particular focus on employment tribunal litigation. My experience prior to moving to Kent involved a lot of advocacy work, including working as “In-house advocate” at Capsticks, where I represented the firm’s clients at employment tribunals across the southeast and beyond.
In my twelve years or so of practice in the field of employment, I have always relished the challenge of working in an area of law which is technical and constantly evolving. No two days are ever the same. One day I might be advising an employer about a disciplinary process or drafting a staff handbook, whereas on another day I might be advising someone who is just about to lose their job, with all of the stress that surrounds that. In my career to date, I have worked with a large variety of clients including trade unions, professional bodies, SME’s, PLC’s, NHS Trusts, directors and individuals.
I joined Whitehead Monckton in 2016. I am usually to be found working with local people and businesses and advising on all aspects of employment law and HR. My focus is always to provide commercial and pragmatic advice and to ensure that I understand what it is my client is looking to achieve. I think that the most important quality in a lawyer is to have the ability to listen.
I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
I am able to assist with advising and representing businesses, organisations and individuals about all aspects of employment law.

When out of the office:
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to radio 4 and growing things. I live in Kent and feel lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world.
