I completed an LLB Hons degree at Newcastle University followed by the Solicitors Finals Examination at the College of Law at Lancaster Gate in London.
I then trained with and worked for a London firm specialising in media law before joining Whitehead Monckton in 1987. I became a partner the following year and then became a Director when the firm incorporated to a Limited Company in April 2014.. I specialise in commercial property work.
I am delighted to offer my expertise and advice to Docklands Solicitors’ clients following our merger with them in October 2016.
Listed as a leading individual for Agriculture in Chambers for 2017 ("an excellent lawyer and a nice bloke to boot.")
I have expertise in:
Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
The grant and taking of leases of business premises
Commercial and residential property development including property joint ventures and promotion agreements, options and rights of pre-emption and overage and clawback provisions
Securities work for lenders
What my clients say:
“level headed and personable but can be tough when required to progress a situation”
When out of the office:
I am a keen golfer and tennis player and an avid sports fan, especially cricket and football (a life long Chelsea fan!) I am the present Under Sheriff of Kent and a Governor of Ashford School.
