I completed my Law Degree at Brunel University in 2004 and successfully completed my Legal Practitioners Course (LPC) at BPP Law School (London) in 2008. Having completed the LPC, I trained and qualified in an Essex based law firm with offices in Harlow, Chelmsford, Ely and Maidenhead.
I have experience advising both employers and employees, and feel that this enables me to give my client a more realistic and balanced expectation on the progression of their matter as I am able to consider both sides and pre-empt progression points.
Having worked at LHS Solicitors has awarded me the opportunity to advise and assist SMEs, HR companies, schools and indeed individuals. I always seek to provide commercial and pragmatic, cost effective advice for the benefit of my client.
I have experience working both in-house, within the public sector and within private practice. I specialise in all aspects of employment law, namely:
Drafting documentation, including contracts and handbook policies
Disciplinary hearing and procedures
Grievance hearing and procedures
Discrimination matters, including but not limited to race, religion, gender, disability, age etc.
Redundancies and restructuring
Transfers of Undertaking (TUPE)
Restrictive covenants and aspects of confidentiality
When out of the office:
During my spare time, I enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures and cuisine. I also enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, as well as reading/listening to a good book.
